Bianca Mabute-Louie, MA is a doctoral student and graduate research assistant in the Sociology department at Rice University. Her research examines how religious socialization shapes the racial attitudes and political engagement of Asian Americans. Bianca earned her B.A. in Public Policy with a minor in Economics from Mills College, and her M.A. in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University. Her visual storytelling and public scholarship have been featured on CNN, TIME, Elle, ABC7, LA Times, Cheddar News, USA Today, and Mic, among other outlets. She is working on her first book, UNASSIMILABLE, with Harper Collins.
