Research Associate in Urban Studies, University of Glasgow

Bilge Serin works as a Research Associate at the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE), University of Glasgow. She is an urban researcher with a diverse background including urban development, urban design, politics and architecture. Bilge has completed her PhD in Urban Studies at Heriot-Watt University on the contemporary development of private neighbourhoods in Istanbul. Her research interests are contemporary commodification of urban space, representations of urban space in mass media, imagination and representation of housing futures and everyday life in mediated urban environments.
