Associate Professor of History, University of Johannesburg

Brett M. Bennett is Associate Professor of History at the University of Johannesburg. He also holds an appointment as Associate Professor at Western Sydney University. Bennett is the author of Plantations and protected areas: a global history of forest management (Cambridge [MA]: The MIT Press, 2015) and co-author with Frederick J. Kruger of Forestry and water conservation in South Africa: history, science, policy (Canberra: ANU Press, 2015). He teaches an interdisciplinary module in the Kruger National Park three times a year in partnership with Western Sydney University, the University of Johannesburg and the Nsasani Trust.
