I received by Bachelor of Science degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Rochester in 2011. My PhD research was on the use of mobile touchscreen devices by young children (0-5 years). Specifically, I am interested in whether theories gleaned from research on the effects of television viewing by young children are applicable to touchscreen use, particularly within the broad domain of learning. More broadly, I am interested in optimizing early childhood outcomes and implementing evidence-based interventions in early childhood settings including children's museums.
