Postdoctoral research fellow in Earth Sciences, University of Canterbury

I am a PhD student at the University of Cambridge studying continental tectonics. Unlike in the oceans, where earthquakes concentrate in narrow regions at the edges of tectonic plates, earthquakes in the continents are much more spread out. I use information from earthquakes, satellite imagery and GPS (a more accurate version of the location technology in a smart phone) to study how continents move and change shape over time.
