Camilla R. Barker FRSA is a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford. She holds law degrees from Harvard Law School (LL.M., Fulbright Scholar) and the University of London (LL.B. (Hons)). Camilla's doctoral research involves humanitarian assistance under international law, particularly in the context of international and non-international armed conflicts and natural disasters. She is working with organisations including the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the International Committee of the Red Cross on legal issues pertaining to, inter alia, the humanitarian crisis in Syria. Camilla's current funded research, involving the establishment of humanitarian corridors for access to besieged civilian populations, is being used to inform humanitarian policy in selected (undisclosed) State governmental and military departments.
