Carina O'Reilly

Lecturer, Policing and Criminal Justice, Anglia Ruskin University

Carina joined ARU as a full-time Lecturer in 2016 having taught for several years on a part-time basis. Carina’s background is in politics and security; she was deputy leader of Cambridge City Council until May 2016, and before that she worked for seven years as Senior European Security Analyst for IHS Jane’s, and was deputy editor of Jane’s Intelligence Review.

She currently edits Policing Insight, a web-based magazine focusing on policing governance and management. She completed her first degree in Social and Political Sciences at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, before taking Master’s in Strategic Studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
