Senior Research Fellow, University of Sydney

Dr Carissa Bonner is a behavioural scientist working in public health. Her research investigates how to communicate health information to help people make informed decisions, regardless of their health literacy level. She holds a NHMRC/Heart Foundation Research Fellowship at The University of Sydney, working with the Sydney Health Literacy Lab, ASK-GP Centre of Research Excellence, and Wiser Healthcare program. Her current projects are focused on three areas of primary health care: cardiovascular disease prevention, diabetes self-management, and infectious disease control.
