Carla Viviana Coleman

Assistant Professor of Design, University of Maryland, Baltimore County

Viviana Coleman is an educator, researcher, writer, and designer. Her most recent book Visual Experiences: A Concise Guide to Digital Interface Design (July 2017) forthcoming by CRC Press & Chapman Hall. Her work has been featured in the books Indie Publishing (2008) and Graphic Design: The New Basics (2008), both published by Princeton Architectural Press. She owns, edits, and maintains the website www.webtypography.org which is part of her book titled: Web Typography: A Handbook for Graphic Designers (2012). Her work has been exhibited in The Siggraph Exhibition Conference, Ssamzie Space, Gallery 175 in Seoul, Korea, and others. She served on the Board of Directors of AIGA Baltimore. Coleman also co-authored, along with Yeohyun Ahn, a book titled Type and Code: Processing for Designers (2009) published by MICA, Maryland Institute College of Art.
