Carlos A. Ball is Distinguished Professor of Law and Judge Frederick Lacey Scholar at the Rutgers Law School where he teaches courses in Constitutional Law, the First Amendment, and Sexuality, Gender Identity, and the Law.

Ball's latest book is "The Queering of Corporate America" (Beacon, 2019). His other books include "The First Amendment and LGBT Equality" (Harvard, 2017); "Same-Sex Marriage and Children" (Oxford, 2014); "The Right to be Parents" (NYU, 2012); and "From the Closet to the Courtroom" (Beacon, 2010). He is also the editor of a collection of essays titled "After Marriage Equality: The Future of LGBT Rights" (NYU, 2016). He is currently working on a book titled "Principles Matter: Constitutional Lessons for Progressives from the Trump Era."
