Carol Campbell is Professor of Leadership and Educational Change, at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. She is a member of the International Council of Education Advisors for the Scottish Government and a Board member of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI). She is a former Education Advisor to the Premier and Minister of Education in Ontario (2014-18) and led the Independent Review of Assessment and Reporting for Ontario. Originally from Scotland, Carol has held education, academic and government roles in Canada, the UK and the USA. Her recent co-authored books are: Teacher Learning and Leadership: Of, By and For Teachers (Routledge), Empowering Educators in Canada (Jossey-Bass) and Empowered Educators: How High-Performing Systems Shape Teaching Quality Around the World (Jossey-Bass).
