Caroline Nowacki

PhD Candidate, Global Projects Center, Stanford University

Caroline Nowacki is a doctoral candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University. She studies incentives and obstacles to long-term investing for institutional investors, as well as Sovereign Development Funds’ strategies and double bottom line investments. She holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Design and Construction from Stanford University and a Master's degree in Management with an Urban Economics major from ESSEC Business School, Paris. Caroline has four years of professional experience in research and business development related to real estate, sustainability and urban planning in France, China, Australia and the USA. She coordinated international collaboration projects to develop best practices in sustainable and smart cities. She co-authored a book, Cities and Forms, and articles about the design of energy-efficient, resilient and attractive cities.
