Executive Officer, Curriculm Bridges Project, La Trobe University

Carolyn Malkin's first career was as an archivist working in all levels of government and in cultural institutions. Career highlights include involvement in the closure of some of Victoria's historic 'mental asylums' in the early 1990s and serving at the Australian War Memorial as Manager, Information Access and Assistant Curator, Official Records. After making a career transition to adult education in the early 2000s, Carolyn has worked with adults embarking on university study after lengthy breaks in their studies and consults in research ethics administration and information management.

Carolyn currently leads the Curriculum Bridges project at La Trobe University. Also called Uni Bridges, this DEECD-funded pilot program in operation at three secondary schools, encourages youth to stay at school and, through enriching and relevant university outreach activities, demonstrates the study and career options open to them through studying Science and Mathematics.

Carolyn Malkin writes under the name Carolyn Theodore.
