Catherine De Lorenzo

Adjunct Associate Professor, Monash University

Dr Catherine De Lorenzo is an adjunct associate professor at Monash Art Design and Architecture, Melbourne. Her research covers Australian art including photographic history, Australian/European photographic exchange, and contemporary public art. Her interest in cross-cultural and cross disciplinary research has resulted in publications in many disciplinary journals. She has co-curated several exhibitions and served on the editorial boards of History of Photography, Design and Art Australia Online, and Visual Studies.
With Joanna Mendelssohn, Alison Inglis and Catherine Speck she co-authored Australian Art Exhibitions: Opening our eyes, (Thames and Hudson, Australia, 2018). This project resulted from an ARC Linkage Project with UNSW, University of Melbourne and University of Adelaide in partnership with the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Art Gallery of South Australia and Museums Australia.
