Catherine Elliott O'Dare

Catherine Elliott O’Dare is an Assistant Professor in Social Policy at Trinity College Dublin, having earned her PhD at Trinity. As a social scientist, Catherine’s research focuses on the sociology and policies of ageing, ageism, friendship, intergenerational relations in the workplace, and extended working lives. Dr Elliott O’Dare’s recent research on intergenerational friendship and ageism have generated lead authored articles in Canadian Journal on Aging/La Revue canadienne du vieillissement, Journal of Aging Studies and Ageing and Society, and co-authored methodological papers in Qualitative Health Research and International Journal of Qualitative Methods. She teaches courses on Social Policy, Health Policy, Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion – Policy and People.
