I use genetic and genomic methods to increase our understanding of ecology and evolution, often for conservation and management purposes. I communicate this gathered knowledge and its application to students, scientists, the public and stakeholders. My research has typically focused on aquatic animals, from freshwater fishes as small as 60 mm long to marine mammals as large as the 30 m blue whale.
