Charles Figuières

Charles Figuières is an economist. His research topics include : environmental economics (economics of biodiversity and sustainable development), public economics (public goods and mechanisms design) and, incidentally, game theory.

He defended his PhD in Economics in 1999, at GREQAM (Marseille, FRANCE). He has since then held positions at University Aix-Marseille II (research and teaching assistant), University Panthéon-Assas (research and teaching assistant), CORE (Belgium, postdoc position), University of Bristol (UK, lecturer), INRA (research fellow from October 2003 to August 2016). In September 2016, he was appointed Professor at Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE).
