From 1986 to 2013, I worked at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool and Southport Hospital as Consultant chemical pathologist, Clinical Director and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer. Currently I work as an International advisor on Europe for the Royal College of Pathologists. I have published reports on rare inherited diseases such as porphyria, Tangier disease and Lipoprotein lipase deficiency. My sub-specialty interests have been lipids, diabetes and endocrinology.
