Chris Gibbs is the Chair of Ryerson’s School of Creative Industries. He joined the school in 2020 after eight years with the Ted Rogers School of Management where he worked with the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the MBA program. Prior to Ryerson Chris had a distinguished career in some of Canada’s leading sports and entertainment organizations; MLSE, Playdium and Livent. He has an MBA from Ryerson University and PhD in Film and Media Studies from Stirling University in Scotland where he investigated the Impacts of Twitter on Sports Media Relations. Recently, he co-developed an interdisciplinary minor at Ryerson for Events and Live Entertainment Management.
