Chris Hastie is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University. His research looks at community engagement and the role that is played by the relationship between public services and the communities that they serve in creating and perpetuating inequality. He has particularly focused on fire prevention and inequality in the distribution of fire. Prior to commencing on his PhD Chris spent many years delivering services in local government.
