Managing Director of the Joint Center for Housing Studies, Harvard University

As Managing Director of Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies, Chris oversees the development of the Center's annual The State of the Nation's Housing and the biannual America's Rental Housing reports. A key focus of his recent work has been on the financial and demographic dimensions of homeownership, and the implications for homeownership policy of the recession, housing bust, and foreclosure crisis. He is co-editor of the recently published book Homeownership Built to Last: Balancing Access, Affordability, and Risk After the Housing Crisis (Brookings Institution Press, 2014).
