I'm a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh working with the Carbfix in Iceland, who are injecting CO₂ into geothermal fields for storage as solid minerals/rocks. My background is in geology and before my PhD I was working on a research masters assess the fluxes of ecotoxic metals and carbon in the drainage waters of industrial waste materials (slags). I have professional experience working as a scientific consultant for ClimateXChange (Scotland's centre for expertise on climate change) and on a prospective minewater heating project.
