Chrystie Flournoy Swiney

Chrystie Swiney (PHD (ABD); JD; MPhil; MA) is a human rights attorney, political scientist, and legal scholar, whose work focuses on the rising role of sub-national actors in international relations. She holds graduate degrees from Harvard Law, Oxford, and Georgetown, where she is currently completing her PhD and serves as a Doctoral Fellow at Georgetown's Law Center. She has worked for the past decade as a contracting human rights attorney for the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law, a visiting scholar for the College of William and Mary, and the Lead Author of Global Trends in NGO Law, which she continues to oversee. Chrystie has also worked for the US State Department, the Constitution Project, and Oxford University Press.
