Dr Claire McEvoy is a Lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast whose research investigates the role of nutrition in healthy ageing and prevention of disease. She worked as a clinical dietitian in the NHS before being awarded a PhD in Public Health Nutrition at Queen’s University Belfast. Since then she has held post-doctoral research positions at both Queen’s University Belfast and The University of California San Francisco. Her research involves the investigation of dietary patterns and disease risk across the life-course, and the design and evaluation of dietary interventions to improve health and well-being during ageing. Dr McEvoy is an Alumni Atlantic Fellow of The Global Brain Health Institute (University of California San Francisco and Trinity College Dublin) and a Beeson-CARDI Fellow of the American Federation for Aging Research.
