Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Psychology, Northumbria University, Newcastle

Colin is currently a Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Psychology. He has been a tutor in Psychology for 26 years since obtaining a DPhil in Visual Science in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bristol. He has substantial teaching experience in primary, secondary and the further education sectors of the UK. At Northumbria University he has taught courses in Laboratory Classes, Introduction to Cognitive Psychology, Perception, Visual Cognition, Sex Differences in Cognition, Individual Differences, Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuropsychology. His current teaching interests lie in the lifespan development of working memory.

His research interests have been in the field of working memory, in particular the individual differences associated with visuospatial working memory. Much of his recent research has been in collaboration with Psychology staff at the Universities of Durham, Newcastle and St. Andrews.
