I am interested in how human cognition can become influenced by different conditions and states. My current research aims to examine how alcohol hangover affects thought processes that underlie everyday behaviours. Specifically, I am interested in how hangover affects executive functions, such as our ability to inhibit behaviours, or manage emotions.

Hangovers are the most common negative consequence of heavy alcohol consumption, yet little research has been conducted in this field. Understanding the impact of an alcohol hangover is key to better informing individual consumers, policymakers, and the general public.
