Daaim Shabazz, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Global Business at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. He has taught Global Business, Marketing and e-Business subjects for the past 20 years at FAMU. In 2001, he founded The Chess Drum website which is designed to highlight players of the worldwide African Diaspora. He has also covered major international events, including World Championships, U.S. Championships and Olympiad tournaments. He recently authored "Triple Exclam," a biography of Emory Tate, a brilliant, yet troubled chess master.
