Daniel Miller is an anthropologist studying material culture and digital anthropology. His work on objects and consumption was first developed in Material Culture and Mass Consumption, includes The Comfort of Things and is summarised the book Stuff. His more recent work in digital anthropology included the Why We Post project with books such as How the World Changed Social Media and Ed. Digital Anthropology. He established the world’s first programme dedicated to the study of digital anthropology at UCL. Currently he runs the ASSA project - The Anthropology of Smartphones and Smart Ageing, see https://www.ucl.ac.uk/anthropology/assa/
