David is a fungal ecologist, turned bacterial and archaeal ecologist and sometime bioinformatician.

He's worked with bacteria, archaea and fungi in a range of environments including roots (epacrids & cotton), soils (agricultural & natural) and in the deep subsurface associated with coal and oil deposits. To date, he has published approximately 25 papers in international scientific journals.

David currently works primarily as a scientific author of manuscripts and grants. When he's not involved writing in English, he writes scripts in Python to facilitate the analyses of metagenomic data for his projects.
