Senior Lecturer, School of Education, Edith Cowan University

Dr David Rhodes is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at Edith Cowan University, in Western Australia. He has previously worked in government and independent schools, and in tertiary education in NSW and the NT, and has worked with Indigenous pre-service teachers in remote communities. His research broadly focuses on social justice issues in education, particularly those related to Indigenous education, sexuality, inclusivity and the celebration of diversity in schools. David collaborates with community organisations to deliver professional development to teachers, school support staff and pre-service teachers on creating inclusive schools that support sexually and gender diverse students, and challenge heterosexism.
