Associate Professor of Politics and International Studies, Centre College

Dina Badie is an Associate Professor of Politics and International Studies at Centre College. Her research and teaching interests include international relations theory, security studies, foreign policy, and Middle East & East Asian politics. Badie is the author of After Saddam: American Foreign Policy and the Destruction of Secularism in the Middle East (Rowman and Littlefield, 2017), and she has published articles in Foreign Policy Analysis, International Studies Perspective, and Strategic Studies Quarterly.

Named a Centre Scholar in 2015 — a two-year appointment recognizing teaching excellence, scholarship, and contributions to the Centre Community — Badie also received a Kirk Award for excellence in teaching in 2018.
She received her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.
