Research Fellow, Melbourne School of Population Health, The University of Melbourne

Dora Pearce, as a member of the Vaccine and Immunisation Research Group, Melbourne School of Population Health, University of Melbourne, is currently involved in researching spatio-temporal influences on the epidemiology of influenza, and the benefits of vaccination in the elderly, using various statistical modelling techniques. Research interests extend to the epidemiology of non-infectious agents, such as environmental exposures to arsenic in soil and gold mining waste, using synchrotron-based XRF and XAS applied to biological samples to investigate arsenic uptake and metabolism, and the application of geospatial statistical techniques to investigate links between environmental contaminants and adverse health effects.
