Professor II at CEED, University of Oslo

I currently run my own company DougalEARTH ltd, I hold a professor II position at the Centre for Earth Evolution and Dynamics (CEED) at the University of Oslo and I am a CBBC presenter for the science series ‘Fierce Earth’. As well as research and Industry collaborations, I have been involved in a variety of science outreach and media activities as a writer, on-screen expert and more recently presenter. I have written extensively in science journals and magazines and have recently penned two books (the latest ‘Introducing Volcanology – a guide to hot rocks’ by Dunedin Academic press). My interests cover the Earth Sciences and I also blog for the Huffington post.
