Aaron Timoshanko

Dr Aaron Timoshanko is a Lecturer (Law) at the University of Southern Queensland. Aaron has a keen interest in animal law, having taught the subject in 2015 at Flinders University. Aaron’s PhD thesis, entitled 'Democratising the Regulation of Horses used in Jumps Racing' won the Mollie Holman award at Monash University in 2018. Aaron is a member of the Voiceless Legal Advisory Council and was an inaugural member of the South Australian Law Society's Animal Law Committee (2010-14).

Aaron is also co-developing and teaching 'Emerging Legal Technology and Practice' at USQ in semester two in 2019. This subject aims to equip law students with the knowledge and skills they will require for the changing legal market.

Before undertaking post-graduate study, Aaron worked in-house and then as a solicitor at a mid-tier firm.
