Dr Daniela Kaleva is a musicologist who applies interdisciplinary approaches to the analysis of stage genres and performance, including drama with music and music drama. She is also a scholar/performer/director/producer engaged in researching the representation of emotions in baroque performance and historical acting techniques. Daniela has been publishing performing arts criticism since 2008 in Music Forum Magazine and Australian Stage Online.

Daniela is a researcher developer with a diverse range of experience in the Australian tertiary education sector as an administrator, manager, program manager, teacher, researcher and HDR supervisor. She facilitates professional learning and has a proven track record of successfully leading research and education projects, and events and programs in times of change.
