I have a BA in English and Psychology, an Honours degree in English, an MA in Communication Studies and a PhD in Creative Writing. My PhD was on the role crime fiction can play in Reconciliation in Australia. My research interests include prisoner education and teaching grammar and writing in fun and engaging ways. I have worked as a professional editor for the SACE Board of SA and have a regular column in The Adelaide Review, called 'Good Country'. I have taught in enabling education for 10 years and designed and lectured in a version of a foundation program for prisoners at South Australia's Mobilong Prison. This program ran in 2013.
