Dr Suzanne Hudson

Sue has been involved in teaching and teacher education for over 30 years.Currently the Director of Professional Experience at Southern Cross University Sue is interested in investigating alternate models of initial teacher education. As the project leader of the Teacher Education Done Differently (TEDD) project Sue investigated a model of ITE that more closely blended school-based learning experiences to university studies. As a result of the project, Sue was awarded an Office of Learning and Teaching (OLT) award and a citation in the previous year. Currently Sue is involved in research relating to the mentoring of preservice teachers and beginning teachers and investigating how the transition to teaching can be more effective to better support new teachers and ultimately the students in their care.
