Senior Lecturer in Human Geography, University of Dundee

My research is on disability, and in particular learning disability. As a geographer, I am particularly interested in the social and spatial aspects of exclusion and discrimination, and inclusion and belonging. I have done projects on employment, healthcare, creative arts, personalisation of social care and support, impacts of environmental hazards, and disability hate crime. Projects have been funded by ESRC, Scottish Government, Nuffield and Innovate UK. My research is participatory, and I work closely with disabled people's organisations.
