Eleanor Byrne is a Senior Lecturer in English at Manchester Met, UK. BA (Kings College London); MA 20th Century English and American Literature (Sussex); PhD in English (Strathclyde).
Her research interests include race, gender and sexuality in contemporary literature, hospitality and haunting, ecocriticism, colonial and postcolonial literature and culture. Publications include the monographs Deconstructing Disney and Homi K. Bhabha, Texting Obama - Comparative American Studies -a special issue, Cosmopolitanism as creative and critical practice -inaugural issue of Open Arts Journal, chapters and articles on Hilary Mantel, Tove Jansson, Nicola Barker, Ali Smith, Jamaica Kincaid, Hanya Yanagihara and she is currently editing a collection of articles Brexit Wounds, on Brexit’s cultural impact.
