Lecturer and tutor in Visual Communications, University of Technology Sydney

Elisa Lee is an award-winning creative director and designer who has worked in digital media since the early 90's.

An independent practitioner in visual communication and interaction design, her main interests lie in the creation of engaging interactive audio-visual installations which promote social interaction.

Passionate about fostering emerging design talent, Elisa tutors and lectures in media convergence, interaction design and visualising research in the Faculty of Design at the University of Technology, Sydney. In 2011 she initiated a subject with Google, Sydney now in its seventh year.

Elisa returned to Sydney in 2004 after five years in Barcelona where she formed part of area3, an award-winning hypermedia group focusing on the fusion of design, sound and technology. She was also course coordinator of Digital Design at the European Institute of Design, Barcelona and involved in projects including the creation of a mixed media audiovisual show for the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Elisa graduated with first-class honours from Visual Communications at the University of Technology, Sydney, in 1997. In 2014 she was co Artist-in-Residence at the University of Technology, Sydney Library, tasked with interpreting the innovative automated Library Retrieval System. Currently she is a DX Lab Fellow at the NSW State Library.
