Elisa Romano

I joined the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa in 2004 and am currently a Full Professor. I obtained my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 1999, following which I spent several years at Université de Montréal as a Research Post-Doctoral Fellow and Associate Researcher. I have been a registered clinical psychologist in the province of Ontario since 2006. My research and clinical interests are in the area of childhood maltreatment, specifically understanding its impact on children's development and examining effective ways of intervening with children and families who have experienced maltreatment.
