Professor of Education, University of Florida

I am a professor in the Counselor Education in the School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in Education. I teach graduate courses in professional writing, counseling research, and school and family counseling. My research interests are in the areas of family-centered interventions with elementary students demonstrating behavior problems, the impact of family-school collaboration practices on student achievement and family-school relationships; and the differential assessment of student academic achievement. I have recently published a textbook on family-school collaboration practices entitled Building Culturally Responsive Family-School Relationships.
