Emma Rothero studied freshwater ecology at Liverpool University, followed by an MSc in Applied Hydrology at Cardiff University. This led to a long term position within the Environment Agency helping to address the various impacts of water management on wetland biodiversity. She now works as the outreach co-ordinator for the Floodplain Meadows Partnership, hosted by the Open University, promoting the value of floodplain meadows and the research being undertaken to a wide audience
