Eric Seth Mosinger

Visiting Assistant Professor, Macalester College

I am currently a visiting assistant professor of Comparative and Latin American Politics at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, and a 2015-16 Herb F. York Global Security Fellow at the University of California Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC). My research focuses on civil war, rebel fragmentation, conflict resolution, and post-conflict legacies of violence. My book manuscript in progress, Rebel Unity and Disunity, draws on statistical and network analysis as well as extensive fieldwork in Central America in order to explain the causes of factional struggles among revolutionary organizations in Nicaragua and Syria. My research has been published in the Journal of Peace Research and an edited volume on regional integration and crisis. I hold a BA from Wesleyan University and a PhD from the University of California, Irvine.
