I am a health communication researcher working at the intersection of media, public health, and social change. Trained as a social psychologist, my research interests center around how media messages influence individuals and society. Specifically, how can we communicate health and other prosocial messages more effectively and foster resistance to negative or misleading messages? As Senior Research Associate at the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center's Hollywood, Health & Society program, my research examines entertainment narratives as a powerful vehicle for communicating health messages to the public.
