Dr Erin O’Brien is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Justice, Faculty of Law, at the Queensland University of Technology, where she teaches and researches in the areas of politics and social justice.

Dr O’Brien is the lead author of 'The Politics of Sex Trafficking: a moral geography' and co-editor of 'Crime, Justice and Social Democracy: international perspectives'. She has a wide variety of research interests including:

• human trafficking policy and discourse
• sex work and the sex industry
• campaigning and lobbying tactics of political interest groups
• religion and politics
• disability and politics
• political protest, civil disobedience and domestic terrorism
