Esteban Ortiz-Ospina is an economist at the University of Oxford. He is a Senior Researcher at the Oxford Martin Programme on Global Development, where he is helping develop the project OurWorldInData.org.
Esteban completed his doctoral studies at the University of Oxford (DPhil Economics), and much of his research uses applied microeconomics to study the economics of discrimination and public good provision. In current projects he is studying the design of admission policies in elite English universities, and labour market recruitment policies in developing countries.
