Fernanda Palhano-Fontes

I am an electrical engineer holding a Master's and PhD in Neurosciences from the Brain Institute of UFRN. Since 2010 I am studying the psychedelic ayahusaca. During my masters, I used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to evaluate the acute effects of this brew in healthy individuals. During my thesis, I investigated the therapeutic potential of ayahuasca in patients with treatment-resistant depression. I am interested in psychedelics, psychiatry and neuroimaging.
