Fred Dallmayr

I hold a Doctor of Law degree from the University of
Munich (Germany) and a Ph.D. from Duke University
(USA). I served as President of the Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy (SACP) and as Co-Chair
of the World Public Forum- Dialogue of Civilizations. I specialize in modern and contemporary political philosophy and comparative and cross-cultural political thought. Among recent publications: In
Search of the Good Life (2017); The Promise of Democracy. (2010); Freedom and Solidarity (2015);
and Democracy to Come (2017).
