Gareth Haysom

I am the southern cities project coordinator for the IDRC/SSHRC-funded Hungry Cities Partnership programme at the ACC. I also work on the ESRC/DFID-funded Consuming Urban Poverty project, leading the food system work package.

My research focuses on the intersections between Africa’s urban development and the wider food system challenges. Of particular interest is how the different parts of the food system interact at the urban scale and how food system governance is enacted at the urban scale.
